-Tara on becoming a Victory Gardener-
Q: Why do you want to participate in the Victory Garden project?
A: As much as I really want a garden, I don’t know how to begin. It would be great to have knowledgeable students to help me get started and give me tips on how to be successful with my harvest. That would also be a great example for my children.
Q: How will growing your own food benefit you? your home, your life, your family....
A: Provide a sense of caring for the earth and accomplishment. Tending to the garden can be a family activity. Also, we can enjoy what we grow during meals. I think a garden will provide a nice landscape for the look of our home and surrounding land.
Q: Do you cook? Anything you want to grow that you will cook?
A: Yes, I cook. I would like to grow carrots, broccoli and greens to cook.
