PROJECT: Pollinator Garden
My name is Olivia Loyack and I am an incoming freshman at NCSU. I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award by creating pollinator gardens around my community, and I plan on majoring in Biology, so that I can work with bees in the future.
I am interning with the YALP project for Fall 2017. Their mission is to empower students with the confidence that comes with marketable skills, such as fundraising, communication, presentation, collaboration, project management, and leadership skills. I am excited to develop these skills early on in my college career.
My skill focus will be on presentation and fundraising. These are both skills of influence that I will need when I go for my first job interview.
I am looking for an organization near the NC State University area that is interested in building a pollinator garden. Qualifying organizations will have a site, on which to build this garden that receives 6-8 hours of sun, has access to water and is accessible to the community.
